YBL develops new
range of Healthy
Food products.
It has been a fact for many years and recently backed up with CSIRO and other creditable medical & health industry research that there is a major benefit in modifying our diet to reduce calorific intake and change the ratio of fat, protein, carbohydrate and sugar we eat on a daily basis.
Notably, the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet is described as a “protein-plus, low fat diet” that is carbohydrate limited rather than low-carbohydrate. The basic plan is relatively low in energy at about 5500 kJ per day. This diet contains 114g carbohydrate which higher than the low 20-60g in Atkins, but still less than half the 250-300g found in the average Australian diet. The diet has 40g fat, 102g protein and achieves the recommended daily fibre recommendation with 31g per day.
Below is a comparison of the CSIRO diet with existing healthy eating recommendations.

For larger or more active individuals, an 8000 kJ diet adds another 100g meat at dinner, an extra serve each of fruit and dairy, plus some additional oils and a daily `indulgence' food is suggested.
Always recommended is exercise—20minutes per day or more. Walking or the Gym or Playing Sport.
So with this in mind, YBL’s technologists set about developing:
· Hi Protein Pancake Premix
· Hi Protein Pikelet Premix
· Hi Protein Cake Mix
· Hypotonic Drink
Why? Well indulgence food like cakes, pancakes & pikelets are typically low in protein and high in energy & carbohydrates. YBL’s recipes rebalance the proteins, fat, carbohydrate & sugar for you. This gives you a better indulgence alternative. PLUS they taste just like the traditional food.
